David Felton Joins EO as New Projects Managing Director

We’re excited to announce the appointment of David Felton as Projects Managing Director at EO Charging. David joins EO at a pivotal time in our journey, bringing a wealth of experience in critical national infrastructure and a deep passion for accelerating the transition to net zero.

David has held senior roles across a variety of sectors, including positions at Scottish Power, United Utilities, ALSTOM, Balfour Beatty, Wood, Freedom, Signalling Solutions, and Chubb. His extensive experience spans customer operations, original equipment manufacturing, EPC contracting, rail signalling, and fire and security systems. With a background as an electrical engineer, David’s technical expertise complements his broad industry experience, perfectly aligning with EO’s mission to deliver best-in-class infrastructure for commercial fleets worldwide.

What led me to join EO was the enthusiasm and drive of the team. Their ambition to grow resonated with me. Coming from a transmission and distribution background, I see parallels with the rapid transition needed in the EV sector to meet net zero targets. EO is well-positioned to lead the way.

David is particularly excited about EO’s foundation for growth and the opportunity to optimise fleet electrification for customers. “EO has created a fantastic base not just to electrify fleets and buses but also to optimise our customers’ operations through smart infrastructure,” he adds.

In his new role, David will focus on building a best-in-class team capable of engineering, procuring, and constructing the infrastructure customers need to electrify their fleets quickly and efficiently. His immediate priority is to deeply understand customer needs and ensure EO consistently exceeds expectations.

Looking ahead, David sees significant opportunities in the EV charging industry. “Beyond bus electrification, the major electrical infrastructure investments across the UK, USA, and EMEA highlight the need for local customer access to charging solutions. This includes supporting companies, contractors, and hauliers as they transition to electric fleets.”

David believes EO’s impact will come from futureproofing customer access to fully monitored, controlled electrification solutions. “EO will set the standards in designing, building, operating, and controlling electrified fleets, ensuring our customers can operate with confidence and reliability,” he explains.

David’s leadership comes at an exciting time for EO Charging, as we continue to scale our operations and support customers worldwide in their electrification journeys. We’re thrilled to have him on board and look forward to the expertise and energy he brings to the team.

Welcome to EO, David!
